Apply to Hong Kong’s AFCD before you travel; the name on the health certificate must match the permit. - 30–365 days before arrivalRabies vaccine

Watch out
- Dogs and cats under 5 months old, or more than 4 weeks pregnant, can’t be imported.
- Pets must fly as manifested cargo on the most direct route — not in the cabin or as excess baggage.
- Banned: pit bull terriers (incl. American Staffordshire), Japanese Tosa, Dogo Argentino, Fila Brasileiro and their crosses. Bengal cats need proof of 5+ generations of domestic ancestry.
